A National Talent Identification Camp was held in Chennai from 6 – 8 Sep with 12 athletes from 6 States attending. 

Vikas Shelke from Maharashtra selected to under go further training at the Indian Triathlon Academy in Chennai. 

Joi Singh from SSCB and Ajit Sudarshan were selected to represent India at the 12th Asian Triathlon Championships in Chennai on 2nd November 2003.
