2004 NATIONAL TRIATHLON & AQUATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS

The following below is the schedule for the 2004 National Triathlon & Aquathlon Championships to be conducted at the Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad from 24^th – 28^th November.

The Triathlon & Aquathlon Championships are being held in this format to enable as many competitors as possible the opportunity of competing in both events without the burden of further arduous travel to 2 separate events.

Championship Administration

Entries for the Championships close on 10^th November 2004.   Race Entry Forms are attached.     Entries will only  be accepted on the Official Entry Form. 

The Championship Administration Office will be located in the Swimming Pool Complex at Gachibowli Stadium from Tuesday 23^rd November to Sunday 28^th November.   All information relating to the Championships and Activities in the Schedule listed below will available at this location.   All events listed in the Schedule will be held within the Gachibowli Complex.

Please note the 2 major changes for this year’s Championships. 

1. The Triathlon Championships will be conducted for both Senior & Junior over the Sprint Distance which is a 750 metres swim, 20km cycle and 5km run.
2. The introduction of a Senior Aquathlon Championship in addition to the Junior and Sub Junior events.   This event will consist of 750m swim followed by a 5km run.

                                    9am                  Senior Aquathlon Championship Finals

12pm               National Aquathlon Championships Award Ceremony

 Fri 26^th Nov                9am – 5pm       National Triathlon Development Course. (Day 1)

 Sat 27^th Nov               9am – 3pm       National Triathlon Development Course (Day 2)

3 – 5pm           Triathlon Registration

5pm                 Race Briefing for Competitors & Managers

 Sun 28^th Nov               7am                  Junior National Triathlon Championships

                                    8.30am             Senior National Triathlon Championships
