PREVENTION OF AGE FRAUD
ITF is fully compliance with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, National Code on Prevention of Age Fraud. Additionally, ITF views intentional cases of age fraud as a serious offence that violates the spirit and code of our sport in India. As such, strong penalties will be imposed of those Triathletes that are found to be intentionally committing age fraud. Triathletes are encouraged to provide details during the ITF-PIN registration process that are true and correct.
- NATIONAL CODE ON PREVENTION OF AGE FRAUD
As part of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports National Code Against Age Fraud in Sports (NCAAFS) on Prevention of Age Fraud, all Member units are required to ensure that ALL age category Triathletes DOB are in good standing. If required the Triathletes will have to undergo medical examination to verify their age prior to participation in competitions or joining any training camps.
- PENALTIES FOR AGE FRAUD INFRINGEMENTS
The Indian Triathlon Federation imposes harsh penalties as per ITF guidelines, to have intentionally committed an age fraud offence.
- VERIFICATION DURING ITF-PIN REGISTRATION
Triathletes will have to submit two (2) Govt recognized ID proofs during ITF-PIN registration and the Triathlete can obtain a personal account on ITF only after ITF verifies the account. If the submitted details do not match, account will be deactivated until appropriate documents are submitted to ITF.
- The ITF also conducts random Age Test of the triathletes through a certified doctor. The Federation is open to any appeal made against any age fraud.
